Sharon said they had an AMAZING NIGHT!

Please pray for Ty (Mike led him to the Lord), Michelle ( Dean led her to the Lord), Francisco, Victor (Jordan and I spoke to him together), Sam and Santiago, Martin.

Tonight we had the Mac-"LADDY" family, Jordan, Dean and Sy, Aaron, Bea, Forrest and another brother from the Dream Center I didn't know that Dean seemed to know. Dean and Aaron preached the Gospel.

Mommy and baby are doing great! We are praising the Lord for His goodness.

Please pray for a speedy recovery, the health of the baby & the salvation of those who got tracts at the hospital.

CUT TO THE CHASE! - Are you a good person?

This is a Ray Comfort classic but it really does "cut to the chase". Ask someone: "Would you consider yourself to be a good person?"

The answer to this question really reveals a lot about someone's view of themselves AND of God. You must lovingly present the truth about how HOLY God is and how WICKED they are. This can be a challenge. Good thing that the Lord gave us a conscience (even though its fallen) and His LAW to bring about the knowledge of sin. This can be very effective especially in a "self esteem" culture.

It really scares me when I ask a professing "Christian" this question... and they say YES.

Burbank Media Center - 9/3/09 - FOLLOW UP

The turnout for evangelism was AMAZING! Truly faithful at the ministry the Lord has given them! Sharon, Faith, Jorge, Dean, Sai, Hanna, Aaron, Bea, Mike, Joanne, Scott, Mike and his daughter, and a dear sister who I keep forgetting her name... sorry sister!

Sharon's prayer requests - Please pray for Ethan (raised in a Christian home but rebelling), Danny and his mom (catholic), 4 teenage girls

Davids prayer request - Christ & Kevin who took bibles and asked questions during open air preaching. The "Christian" girl who had no idea what the gospel was, she felt guilty while sharing the law. Her and her friend took bibles. Raul and his wife who thought Ray Comfort taught heresy for using the 10 commandments to evangelize. Those who took tracts and heard the preaching. Please pray for me to be more patient and listen to others speak before answering.

Faith asks prayer for: Please pray for Cecil who said that he was searching and looking into various religions. I shared the gospel with him and told him there was only one way through the Lord Jesus Christ. He listened and I gave him agospel of John and he said he would study it. Praise the Lord!

The Valley of Vision - The Mover

If you have never read the book on Puritan prayers "The Valley of Vision" you must. All I can say to my shame is my prayer life is luke warm. Do I think "I will be heard for my many words"?

"Infinite wisdom cast the design of salvation

But the free gift of grace on the gate of heaven.

I know that my sufferings are the result of my sinning,

but in heaven both shall cease;

SCRIPTURE MEMORY - 2 Timothy 2:14-26

I'm really starting to understand the importance of scripture memory, especially because of evangelism. Here is a section that is so practical to read given how many false teachers we run into!

2 Timothy 2:14-26

Remind {them} of these things, and solemnly charge {them} in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless {and leads} to the ruin of the hearers.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

But avoid worldly {and} empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness,

and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,

{men} who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."

Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor.

Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these {things,} he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love {and} peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.

The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,

with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,

and they may come to their senses {and escape} from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
