CSUN Evangelism- FOLLOW UP

What a blessing! Tony and I went to the usual spot to preach open air and low and behold they were having a "Students for Israel" hotdog setup (Kosher hotdogs I'm sure, which are the best ones in my opinion... Costco $1.50 Dog and Soda... oh yeah!) ANYWAY... Tony and I decided to use more OT verses while preaching. After I was almost done preaching a young girl came up and asked me a few questions about God's forgiveness and the death of Jesus if He was God how could He die? She ended up taking a Gospel of John. When Tony got up to preach he wasn't 5 minutes into it when guess who showed up? THE BIKE HECKLER!! I remembered when I was down in Hollywood preaching someone came up to heckle me and Elder Bob was a human "pick" and diverted the heckler with a 1-on-1 conversation allowing me to keep preaching uninterrupted... so I walked up to The Bike Heckler with my camera in hand. My goal was to distract him as best as I could with conversation so my brother could keep preaching the law and gospel. 

Over all we had a GREAT TIME, The Lord really blessed us with opportunities to share the Good News! Glory to God!!

CSUN Evangelism- TODAY 12:00!!

If any one would like to go, Tony and I will be at CSUN using there free speech area from 12:00-1:00 doing some open air preaching and handing out tracts. If you want to carpool with me give me a call on my cell. I will be leaving about 11:00 ish.

Burbank Media Center - 5/2/09

I KNOW everyone wants to go to Hollywood, but this weekend is just to crazy for us to host it. There is so much going on between Friday and Sunday SO, we will be meeting at the usual fishing spot near the AMC 16 5:00-8:00 p.m. I will have tracts for those who don't have any but they are... not the best at catching fish. They are GOSPEL TRACTS! You can see them a mile away.

PRAY FOR ALFRED!!

I just want to encourage everyone to keep praying for Alfred! I have been blessed to have regular bible studies with him on the phone and he wants to visit CBC this Sunday!!

He shared some of his testimony with me today... God is amazing!

Burbank Media Center - 4/25/09 - FOLLOW UP

Tonight was great. They was an Art Fair today where they blocked off San Fernando so there were a lot of people. Clint, Forest, Joshua, Dean, Dan & Noah and myself were all out in force. I had the privilege of open air preaching twice. Had some interesting 1-on-1's. One with an ex-occultist and one with a VERY self righteous, 75 year old man who said he never told a lie or had lust in his heart. Joshua and I tried to reason with him, he basically mocked us and the gospel... yet still took a tract.

Handed out about 300 tracts. God is good!

Burbank Media Center - 4/25/09

YES! We are going to be out at Burbank Media Center tomorrow, Saturday 5:00-8:00 p.m. near the AMC! If you have your own tracts please bring them... I'm running low on Millions!

You do what you can. Its a good thing the Lord uses us in-spite of us... also a good reason to use tracts, because if you get shut down, they still have the Gospel in print!

Burbank Media Center - 4/18/09 - FOLLOW UP

Well, CBC was represented Saturday night by me and later on Drew. Don't feel bad for us, we had a few others from our evangelism family, Chris, Dean & his wife and Catherine a lady who was visiting and heard about us on the Last Words radio show.

It was an interesting night. Chris, Dean and myself all open aired. I had several wonderful opportunities to share the gospel 1-on-1 and we handed out about 600 CBC Branded Million dollar bills!!

Burbank Media Center - 4/18/09

We were hoping to have another Hollywood Adventure, but I'm going to have to wait to do that again (sorry Faith and Judith). Our family has just gotten over a very bad flu/cold and are not up to hosting it this weekend. Lord willing we'll be meeting at the usual Burbank spot near the AMC 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Our goal should be to minister in our community on a regular basis. 

 

Burbank Media Center - FOLLOW UP - 4/11/09

I was so encouraged by CBC's turn out of evangelists in Burbank. Forest, Clint, Dan (and his 2 kids), Mike & Joanna (and their daughter). Dan's kids were tract handing machines!

Overall we handed out about 800 tracts! Glory to God. I open aired once and a teen girl asked for a gospel of John at the end and let me share the gospel with her 1-on-1. She had just left the Catholic church and has been attending a local Christian church on her own!

Burbank Media Center-4/11/09

We plan to be at Burbank Media Center next to the AMC 16 this Saturday 5:00-8:00 p.m. We are NOT going to Hollywood this weekend (Faith, I'm sorry).

If anyone plans to be there this Saturday please let me know. I just got a shipment of Million Dollar Bills courtesy of Mike and Joanne's generosity!

Drop the Bomb Episode 12

This was at Brand Blvd. There are so many things I used to say, that I now don't when presenting the gospel... its almost painful to hear myself. Thats why I'm grateful that God's word doesn't return void, not our words!

San Fernando Court House-4/7/09

There weren't a lot of people there today, you still try. It was Tony, Jimmy & myself. Its always an adventure. I used to be so scared if there were a lot of people, now I'm bummed out because you want everyone to hear the gospel!! Please pray for those who heard & received tracts.

PRAY FOR ALFRED!!

Keep praying for Alfred! He called me up this morning for our morning Gospel of John bible study. I try to keep them quick and simple, he is on a bus... today standing! 

I went over how John was heralding the KING! Some verses about Who wrote the bible and why it can be trusted and how basically the whole bible points to Jesus because God loves to save sinners!

Praise the Lord!

Burbank Media Center... wait... HOLLYWOOD? 4/4/09 FOLLOW UP

Okay, okay... we are still trying to work out the regular "fishing spot" for CBC Saturday night evangelism. We did change location at a moments notice and I apologize to anyone that tried to find us and we were not there... we went to Hollywood again! If anyone is planning on going to Saturday night evangelism, please RSVP to my cell phone so that we don't miss you.

The people in the clip below were out in force at Hollywood. They are from the "Church of God". I was able to speak with about 5 of them and it was my first encounter with people who believed in... SINLESS PERFECTIONISM. For those who have never heard of it, they believe they are sinless. Perfect. Needless to say it was a very frustrating conversation. I think I sinned in the process.

CBC was represented by Sharon, Faith, Mike, Joanne, Scott & myself. We handed out about 1400 tracts! We all had several 1-0n-1 gospel opportunities. GLORY TO GOD!!

Lake Tahoe - FOLLOW UP

This is a follow up from Mike's Lake Tahoe trip:

Scott, Uncle Tony & Mike went out in 28 Degree F to "deep freeze witness". They handed out about 100 tracts until Scott's fingers broke off and they had to go to the ER... just kidding. They shared the gospel with 6 people at the casinos! Please pray for Veronica, Henry, Bob & others. Pray that the Lord will open their eyes.

*Note to evangelists: When you start to brave weather that sane people stay out of... you are truly becoming an evangelism junkie!

PRAY FOR ALFRED!!

Just a quick update, I just got off the phone with Alfred. We read John 1:1-14 while he was on the bus. He learned Jesus is God (and he could totally see that from the text), Jesus made everything and humbled Himself to rescue those who rejected Him. Also that you can't save yourself.

GLORY TO GOD! Please pray that I'm able to teach him and that the Lord saves Alfred.

NOHO Subway Station - 4/3/09

Sharon and I went to try a new "fishing" spot at the NOHO Subway Station... IT WAS AMAZING!! We were able to hand out about 500 tracts, a little open air preaching and some 1-on-1's. Praise the Lord! I talked with a man named Jim (A Catholic) who had received a Million Dollar Bill before, one with a movie star on it. Tony maybe? Anyway that started the conversation and after I took him through the "Good Person Test" he asked me, "How can anyone be made pure?" He actually missed his bus on purpose so I could speak with him longer and afterwards he thanked me. Sharon had a long conversation with a young man also.

I encourage everyone to find places they can regularly go to to hand out tracts and see what the Lord does.

Burbank Media Center - 4/4/09

Lord willing, we'll be up at Burbank Media Center this Saturday 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tony the Lawman plans to go to Glendale (I'm assuming not alone, that would just be sad). CBC is going to be in  Burbank. I will have tracts for those who do not, and a box for open air.
