HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

As a father of three... I was in bed by about 9:30.

After I had a small bible study this morning I saw this headline and I thought it was interesting because here was portion of scripture I had just read that really ministered to me: "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Phil 3:13 & 14

Yesterday, Tony shared this picture which was from the Glendale Cruise Night in 2008. The Lord had just started to move me to "aggressive evangelism" & I had never open air preached yet. In this picture I had not even met Tony yet. I just wanted to check out what this "preaching" thing was all about.

Since then the Lord has been gracious to give me the boldness to proclaim the Good News in the open air regularly for the past year. I have seen the good hand of the Lord raise up faithful men and women to work the fields for the harvest! This past year, by His grace, we have handed out thousands of tracts, hundreds of bibles and witnessed to countless people with preaching and 1-on-1 conversations! Thank you to all who have prayed for us and please continue as we cannot survive apart from the Spirits work.

However, in light of that scripture... brothers & sisters let us FORGET our old lives of past sins and failures. Also forget your past successes and achievements. We are on a forward march into the glories of heaven and ultimately to see the face of Jesus Christ! If you have not been faithful to share the gospel, confess it to the Lord beg Him to give you the strength to stand for Him. If you have been faithful this past year "Onward Christian soldiers" continue to proclaim the glorious gospel! This is a new year and if the Lord wills a more profitable year for His glory in the winning of souls!!
