Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me. (Philippians 1:27-30)
The hardy diehards on tonight's mission included: Jeremy, Sharon, Debbie, Dean S., Dean & Sai, Jack & Barbara, Nestor and Steven V. Our brother Mark was notably absent, but his effective prayers availed much. Although it was a rather quiet night (even our friend Roger passed by without so much as a "Boo!") there were several opportunities to proclaim the gospel.
Steve was blessed to pray for a young man from the Bahamas, named Ronelle. Although Ronelle professed faith in Christ, and was enthusiastic in his encouragement for the proclamation of the Gospel, he confessed to walking in a worldly manner. Having come to faith a year ago, while living in poverty, he was experiencing a "miraculous" blessing of being hired to receive training and support by an American corporation to open a fast food restaurant in the Bahamas. He seemed to be under the influence of some sort of prosperity teaching. I cautioned him that it is good to be grateful to God for such a blessing, but not to let worldly success shipwreck his faith. He was familiar with the many scriptural references we shared describing the tribulation we can expect as followers of Christ, and His call to us to walk in obedience. Together we prayed that the opportunity he had been given would be used by God to bring many in the Bahamas to the Lord, and that the Lord would convict Ronelle of his need for continued repentance to walk in obedience to the Word and the Spirit of Christ. In parting we gave Ronelle a copy of Ray Comfort's, "God Has A Wonderful Plan for Your Life." Please pray for this brother.
Prophetic Review
Our brother Jeremy sends us some interesting observations:
As I was reading a couple speeches/articles from the leaders of Israel, some comments they made brought the Bible plus a couple other recent stories into mind...
Luke 20:13-15
This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.
Prime Minister Netanyahu – INSS, Jan 28th
“We are in the age of knowledge, in an outburst of knowledge, and the economy is globalized. This provides the State of Israel with a tremendous opportunity. Not only do we produce more knowledge-based products per capita at the highest level in the world, we can do more. Even in absolute terms, our technological product is large, even very large. For example, in the cyber field, we create approximately 50 times more than our relative size. That means that the State of Israel has the same weight as a country with a population of 400 million in terms of these products, and that provides us with an opportunity, alongside the development of the global economy, to reach many more markets that would have been very hard to reach if it were not for these two trends, globalization and technology, especially the internet.”
Daniel 12:4 - But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
IDF Chief, Major General Aviv Kochavi – INSS, Jan 30th
“About 170,000 rockets and missiles are pointed at Israel, and they are deadlier than ever,” the intelligence chief said. “Many of these weapons can be fired deep into Israel’s territory.”
“Every day, the enemy continues to advance,” he said. “For the first time in many years, Israel is almost completely surrounded by threats. These are not potential threats, but threats posed by an active enemy.”
Luke 21:20 - But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near
The 4 Blood Moons and 2 Solar Eclipses
We've all heard enough about this the last couple of months, first hits on Passover, April 15th.
Joel 2:10-11
10 The earth quakes before them;
the heavens tremble.
The sun and the moon are darkened,
and the stars withdraw their shining.
11 The LORD utters his voice
before his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
he who executes his word is powerful.
For the day of the LORD is great and very awesome;
who can endure it?
Acts 2: 20 (Peter referencing Joel, above) - the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
Roaring Seas
Earlier this week, waves reaching as high as 40 and 50 feet pounded North Shore beaches for several days, according to HawaiiNewsNow.com. The waves reached their peak Wednesday, but surfers and bystanders were warned to stay away from the water for nearly the entire week.
Rough surf led to the closure of several beach parking lots in areas deemed unsafe for swimmers and surfers, according to NBCNews.com. Still, the report mentioned, some residents took to the beaches to get a closer look at the huge swells.

Luke 21:25 - And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves…
