Saturday Outreach

Glendale 10/24/2015

This week when we went to the Glendale Galleria to share the gospel we did as we usually do and met for prayer on the roof level of the parking structure opposite the entrance to Target. Then we walked together to the location. However, due to the challenge of holiday crowds jamming the garage, our November and December outreaches to Glendale will begin at the CBC parking lot, for prayer, and then caravan/carpool to the location on Central Ave. Once there, we will drop off the equipment and evangelists, and then each driver will seek out parking at the nearest convenient location.

Another challenge we have encountered is the need to obtain a permit for the use of amplification. This Glendale Police Officer was very courteous and low-key in addressing the issue with our team members. Brother Tony Miano has much experience and good advice about dealing with the Police on matters such as this.

So far we have been able to avoid this requirement, but it has come to our attention recently that other evangelists in Glendale have been carrying such a permit for some time now. Fortunately, they report that the process of obtaining one is relatively easy.

Brother Mark was largely unaffected by the amp shut-down, owing to his naturally booming "Whitefield" voice. 

Others on the team, however, struggled to make themselves heard, having depended for too long on the ready availability of cheap, convenient and highly portable amplification.

But, glory to God, the Gospel was proclaimed and many listened.

For some reason, the Lord draws many into one to one conversations in Glendale.

This intersection is an ideal one for "Stop-light Preaching." There is a long wait for the light to change, and (with amplification) everyone is within earshot. As often happens in Glendale, all of the English and several of the Armenian Bibles were received. Glory to God!
