This Saturday evening the Lord placed our team is just the right spot to preach the Gospel to approximately 200 teenagers. As we set up in one of our usual spots in front of the Town Center Mall, many groups of teens mingled, in and out of the mall, as they chatted and took selfies. It was clear that they were all there together for some kind of event.
The group was rather well behaved, yet disinterested in these strange people who kept talking about Jesus. The purpose of the event was a meet-up between fans and "influencers" from the local social media culture. Every generation seems to have it's own distracting influences.
Several young people were accompanied by their parents. Yay, Parents! - who care enough to shepherd their teen kids by coming to such a "meetup."
We were ecstatic to be blessed with such an opportunity to serve the Lord, by bringing the gospel to these young ears.
At times we were a bit intimidated by the crowd, but the Lord kept us on track to deliver the message of hope and redemption from sin by the precious blood of the savior, shed for all who would believe.
On the box, or one to one, the gospel goes forth as it has since the early church.
One of these teens was the daughter of our friend Margarit who visits sometimes to encourage us. She also heard the gospel.
Please pray for all these young souls who navigate through our sin cursed world with very little, if any, exposure to the truth of God.
