Lift Up Your Heads December 2014

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:25-28 NKJV)

Burbank Outreach

12/20/2014

On our first time back from a two-week hiatus, we were blessed to be joined by a new volunteer named Chris. He was quick to start boldly handing out tracts. Steve M., Steven V., Mark, Jack, Dean & Sai, as well as our brother Razmik (taking the picture) also participated.

The team occupied both the East and West sides of Magnolia Blvd., as shoppers crossed back and forth to the Town Center Mall. It really is an ideal spot because of the large number of pedestrians combined with the narrow passage.

We know that people are listening because of their behavior. They avoid eye contact, in spite of the obvious presence of a man on a box with an amp talking about God. But the conviction shows in the serious expression on most faces. Stoplight preaching is best when it is clear and compact, getting the gospel out in a minute or less. It's great to have preachers on opposite corners so people hear the same gospel, in different words, from more than one source.

The team was blessed to be joined by some friends of Dean: Daniel (not pictured), who attends Calvary Chapel in Pasadena, brought Aaron and Cheche, a husband and wife who are visiting from Oklahoma.

They were all familiar with the Ray Comfort tracts, and so they helped with giving those out and with one-to-one witnessing.

Already on his second week in the field, Chris is very bold in presenting tracts to passersby.

Richard often gets a response from young people when he offers the Good Person Test.

Of course, the Gospel was proclaimed and many bibles were requested.

The Morning Shift - NoHo Station

Christmas Eve Morning 12/24/2014

What a Christmas blessing! No fewer than 5 on-fire evangelists witnessing to the early commuters at NoHo Metro Station:  Paul, Mark, Vinny, Richard and Steve.

Check out the guy READING THE BIBLE in the background!

Here is a closer shot. I'm not the only one who noticed!

Praise the Lord for a beautiful Christmas Eve morning dedicated to the Glory of God through witnessing and proclamation of the Gospel. Many Bibles and tracts were received!

New Year's Eve Morning 12/31/2014

It was a blustery 38 degrees as Paul, Richard and Steve joyfully shared the glorious Gospel with commuters. Brother Dave in Colorado reminded us that it was -9 degrees where he is, and that put an end to our whining!

These enterprising people were selling hot chocolate. It was so cold they finally packed up and left.

This guy was doing his best to drown out the gospel with his electric guitar and caterwauling voice. Mercifully, security shut him down, he was that bad.

In spite of the harsh cold, many stopped to receive Bibles and granola bars.

Please stand with us on Wednesday mornings at 6:00 AM at the North Hollywood Metro Station on Lankershim Blvd. It's a great opportunity to share the truth with the thousands of commuters who pass through this area. Watch for text announcements on Tuesday evenings. Please always RSVP if you plan to join us on Wednesday mornings.
