  2. Bean,
The door-to-door ministry we partake in is in obedience to Jesus’ command at Matthew 28:19, 20. Matthew 24:14 called this “the good news of the Kingdom”. Interesting word, obedience, isn’t it. So is Harry’s reference to Heb. 6:10. They speak of a record of endurance in God’s service, not some deathbed conversion. True, the evildoer who died next to Jesus did convert at the last minute, but Jesus could read hearts and know he was sincere. Is that the record of most faithful Christians? Rev. 2:10.
Also, our FAITH in Jesus moves us to these works so that we can apply James 2:22 to ourselves. “You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works,” RS Daniel in Nev.

  3. Dear Daniel,

God in His sovereignty allowed your comment though because I had the wrong settings... I'm grateful for that.

Salvation has always been by grace, never by works of the law.

Rom. 4:1-For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

What you are saying to God is ... you owe me salvation because I have been faithful. Sadly that is now counted against you. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Jesus died on a cross for your sins! If you REPENT and TRUST alone in Jesus Christ as LORD (GOD) and believe in your heart that God raised HIm from the dead He will credit you Jesus perfect life! Instantly you will be declared righteous. You can escape an eternity in hell and know you have eternal life because of the LOVING sacrifice of Jesus, who paid your debt and offers it freely by His grace!

THEN true salvation produces good works, but works never produce salvation. Works salvation is a blasphemy against the person and work of Christ.

I'll say a prayer for you.
